Crystal Palace Sack Manager Frank De Boer With just four games coached

Crystal Palace have parted ways with manager Frank De Boer, after just four games in charge.
The Dutchman took charge this summer, and after just four games in the Premier League, he has parted ways.
A club statement announced the news this morning.
“Crystal Palace Football Club have this morning parted company with Frank de Boer.
“We would like to thank Frank for his dedication and hard work during his time at the Club.
“A new manager will be appointed in due course and we wish Frank the very best of luck for the future.
“There will be no further comment at this time.”
For a club like Palace, survival in the top flight is paramount, but it does seem odd considering the statement that was released upon his appointment.
The Eagles had planned on building a culture in the club, creating “an evolution over a period of time”, but with results not going their way, they have performed a complete u-turn and chosen to sack the manager.

All what Morata told Real Madrid before he left to Chelsea

All what Morata told Real Madrid before he left to Chelsea

Alvaro Morata has revealed what he told Real Madrid when he left for Chelsea, according to Spanish publication Don Balon via SportsBible.

Morata made the move to the reining Premier League champions for a club record €65m after Blues boss Antonio Conte missed out on target Romelu Lukaku, who ended up making the move to Manchester United.

Morata has settled in well at Stamford Bridge, scoring three goals in four games so far.
Zinedine Zidane opted to sell the 24-year-old, but Morata, according to Don Balon, told Real Madrid president Florentino Perez before he left the club that he would reject making the sale.

Strangely, too, Los Blancos have struggled in their opening three matches, with two draws and a win against Deportivo.

Draws against Levante and Valencia has also made the Madrid supporters alarmed, and the latest news surrounding Karim Benzema¸  suffered a hamstring injury during Madrid's 1-1 draw against Levante on Saturday,  will heighten those doubts.

Done Deal: Barcelona Have Finally Signed Ousmane Dembele

Email
Barcelona have just announced that they have completed the signing of 20-year-old Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund.
Having seen Neymar leave the Catalonian club earlier this month, the higher-ups at the Camp Nou were determined to find a replacement before the end of the transfer window on August 31st. Having been linked with Dembele for weeks now, they have finally gotten the deal over the line.
La Blaugrana took to Twitter to announce the deal.

It’s not yet confirmed exactly how much Dortmund received for the player but earlier reports suggested it would be in the region of £140 million meaning he would become the second most expensive player in football history. It eclipses the £89.3 million fee that Manchester United paid for Paul Pogba last summer that at the time was a world record.
He’s very much a like for like replacement for Neymar with his goalscoring threat and endless creativity evidently appealing to Barca. Under Thomas Tuchel’s guidance at the Westfalenstadion last season, he notched six goals and twelve assists aged just 19.
Were it not for the incredible emergence of Kylian Mbappe would be much more recognised than he is. While the Champions League exploits of Mbappe are mightily impressive, Dembele possesses more than enough talent to suggest he’ll be a brilliant replacement for the world’s most expensive player.

Reason why Messi is yet to sign new contract and other transfer news and rumours of the day - 22nd August 2017

The summer transfer window is just a few days away from being shut. Clubs from Europe's top 5 leagues are rushing to add players to their squad before the window closes.
Here's a quick look at all the important transfer news and rumours from across Europe.

Lionel Messi to hold off on new contract until Barcelona complete big signings
World football's demigod, Lionel Messi, has sparked fear among Barcelona fans, by claiming that he will not sign a new contract until the club buys some big players.
With Neymar gone and Suarez injured, Messi is said to be growing concerned with his future at the club, according to the Daily Express.

Barcelona taking action against Neymar over world-record move to PSG

Barcelona are pursuing damages from Neymar for what they allege to be a “breach of contract”.
The Brazil forward left the Nou Camp this month for a world-record £200.6million, joining Paris St Germain in a move that more than doubled the previous highest fee.
Life as a PSG player has started well for the 25-year-old, who scored on his debut and then added two more along with three assists in a stunning show against Toulouse on Sunday.
Relations with his former employers have turned sour, though. On Monday Neymar said Barcelona deserved “much more” than the current board of directors and added that it made him “very sad”.

On Tuesday, the Catalan club said they were chasing 8.5 million euros (£7.8million) in damages with a 10 per cent addition and, that if Neymar could not pay, PSG should.
The demand appears to relate to a payment made to Neymar when, in 2016, he renewed his contract with Barcelona through to 2021. It was sent to the Spanish football federation on August 11 with a wish for it to be forwarded to the French federation and FIFA.
“Barcelona decided to take these actions in defence of their interests, after a unilateral termination of contract urged by Neymar Jr a few months after signing the renewal until the end of the year 2021,” a statement read.

Barcelona and Coutinho need to move on - it's about time

By Blair Newman, Football Whispers

The summer transfer window was turned upside down when Paris Saint-Germain moved heaven and earth, or €222million to be more precise, to sign Neymar from Barcelona. The moment that deal went through, the rumour mill was abuzz with fresh speculation of who the Catalan giants would target to reinforce their squad ahead of the new season.
After a Spanish Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid, Barca got their La Liga campaign off to a fairly routine start, dispatching Real Betis with a comfortable 2-0 win. However, their transfer market machinations haven’t quite gone to plan as yet. One particular saga, relating to Philippe Coutinho, rumbles on.
With Liverpool standing firm on their unwillingness to sell their star Brazilian playmaker, it may be time for Barcelona to move on and look elsewhere for midfield improvements. And the player himself should begin to consider the possibility of remaining at Anfield. Here, our friends at Football Whispers analyse the situation.
Camp Nou has been the location of much change over the last few months. Luis Enrique’s time as head coach came to an end, with Ernesto Valverde arriving to replace him in the dugout. Meanwhile, the major additions relating to on the pitch have been former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Paulinho, promising right-back Nelson Semedo and former Everton winger Gerard Deulofeu.

One situation remains unresolved, however, with a long-term successor to Andres Iniesta still not secured. The iconic creator missed the opening league game of the season through injury and, at 33 years of age, he is nearing the latter stages of a wonderful career. He has been at the heart of Barcelona’s play for the best part of a decade-and-a-half, but this torch could soon be passed.
The player’s contract is up next summer and, on the basis of his latest comments, he may not agree to an extension. “I’ve still not renewed. I’ve experienced a lot of sensations I’ve not known before, but I think they’re normal. It’s a scenario which three years ago I could never have imagined,” he told El Pais. “Let’s say I’m thinking about my future when before I wasn’t.”
Earlier this year, reigning Italian champions Juventus were linked to Iniesta. And, while he has ignored such rumour to stay put for the time being, he may be on his way in the near future. Replacing him will be almost impossible, but Coutinho is one of the most appropriate candidates for the task.
The diminutive ball-player has enthralled Liverpool with his skill and technique over the past five years. Having been rejected by Inter Milan, at Anfield he has re-found the ability that once made him one of the world’s most exciting prospects.
Stylistically, he makes weaving runs, possesses outstanding control and a fine passing range. Tactically, he has been moved deeper from a left wing or attacking midfield role to more of a central position on the left of a midfield three, from where he can have more influence over his side’s possession. In both respects, he is similar to Iniesta.
However, Coutinho is not the only player on Barcelona’s midfield shortlist. And, having had two bids for the player turned down by Liverpool already, the Catalan side appear set to pursue alternative targets, including Nice’s Jean Michael Seri.
The Ivorian was integral to his club’s surprise Ligue 1 title tilt last season, with his form making him an Arsenal transfer target. The 26-year-old provides the sort of incisive dribbling, penetrative passing through pressure, combination play and deep movement necessary to fill the void that Iniesta will leave either upon his departure or retirement.
Intriguingly, the statistics seem to lean in Seri’s favour. Last season, he averaged more passes and key passes than Coutinho. He also had a higher pass success percentage and, while his €40million release clause expired in July according to L’Equipe, he would probably cost significantly less than the Brazilian.

Juventus reject €80m Chelsea bid for Alex Sandro

Juventus reject €80m Chelsea bid for Alex Sandro

If you thought we moved on from the failures of the Alex Sandro chase a long time ago, you’re probably very wrong. According to multiple reports, Chelsea made yet another pass at the Juventus left back. Unsurprisingly, it was yet another unsuccessful pass, just as all the other ones before it.
According to A Bola, Chelsea were offering €80m this time, having seen bids anywhere from €40m to €70m+ rejected earlier this summer. Why the Portuguese paper is the one to break this story about an English club bidding for a player in Italy is a bit unclear, and that certainly casts doubt on the veracity of the story even before we consider that spending huge on one player doesn’t fit Conte’s stated wish to bring 3-4 depth players in, not just 1-2 major signings.
That said, Chelsea’s renewed interest and Juve’s continued resistance were confirmed by the waning power of the Italian Transfer Oracle as well, so there just might be something to these rumors. (Namely that it’s not happening, despite our staunch refusal to accept the obvious.)
