Crystal Palace have parted ways with manager Frank De Boer, after just four games in charge.
The Dutchman took charge this summer, and after just four games in the Premier League, he has parted ways.
A club statement announced the news this morning.
“Crystal Palace Football Club have this morning parted company with Frank de Boer.
“We would like to thank Frank for his dedication and hard work during his time at the Club.
“A new manager will be appointed in due course and we wish Frank the very best of luck for the future.
“There will be no further comment at this time.”
For a club like Palace, survival in the top flight is paramount, but it does seem odd considering the statement that was released upon his appointment.
The Eagles had planned on building a culture in the club, creating “an evolution over a period of time”, but with results not going their way, they have performed a complete u-turn and chosen to sack the manager.
